Summer Orientation

June 23 - 27, 2025

There is a true legacy at King's College that you will be proud of, and it all begins at Summer Orientation. At this required, single-day event, you will:

  • Meet other first-year students
  • Meet one-on-one with an academic advisor to review your class schedule*
  • Attend a resource and campus activities fair
  • Learn about expectations for your collegiate experience
  • Get a head start on forming connections with faculty and staff
  • Feel ready for Fall Welcome and the start of the semester

After Summer Orientation, there are just a few more tasks to complete to get ready for the fall semester and Fall Welcome! Check your Monarch account for instructions.

PLUS! We offer dedicated Family Orientation sessions for parents and guardians who are highly encouraged to attend. Your involvement in your student’s life will positively impact their success, and you’re now part of the Monarch family, too!

*Students will not be registered for classes until they complete their applicable placement tests. Delaying completion will limit the class options available to you. Accommodations such as extra time can be arranged by contacting the Academic Skills Center at (570) 208-5841.

Summer Orientation is so exciting and fun for a variety of reasons! We welcome our first-year students and families into our loving and energetic King's community!

Fall Welcome

August 21 - 24, 2025

The second part of our Orientation program is Fall Welcome, a three-day event that is all about effortlessly transitioning to your first weekend of your first semester of college! This required program continues where you left off: building on connections you made over the summer.

At Fall Welcome, you will:

  • Reconnect with classmates, faculty, and staff
  • Receive critical information about student support services
  • Learn where wellness services are located
  • Meet once more with your advisor so you’re extra prepared for class
  • And most importantly, celebrate with social events each evening!
