Fall Transfer

Transfer Advisement Session

For fall transfer students, we mirror our first-year student two-part program, but instead of Summer Orientation, transfer students attend a summer Transfer Advisement Session as well as our Fall Welcome for all new students.

When the Orientation program launches, all incoming students who have made their enrollment deposit will receive an email with your welcome letter along with the web address and credentials for your new Monarch account. Once you’ve logged in, you’ll receive step by step instructions, alerts, and reminders that will guide you all the way through to the first day of class, including registering for your Transfer Advisement.

Since you've already taken classes at another institution, it's important any applicable credits carry over and you're placed in the appropriate classes. During this advisement session, you'll meet with an academic advisor to review your credits, create your class schedule, and finalize your next steps. You can also use this appointment to meet with other offices, such as Financial Aid or Residence Life.

Fall Welcome

While there are many facets to college life you already know, we look forward to your attendance during the Fall Welcome. We firmly believe these events to be a great benefit for meeting friends and learning specifically about King's resources. By the first day of class, you'll be even more familiar with our campus and community and feel right at home!

Spring Transfer

Spring Orientation

All new students starting in the spring semester will participate in Spring orientation. Students will hear presentations from various departments on campus. In addition, students will attend a technology session as well as a session related to academic advisement. Tours will be provided as well as lunch. Offices and Monarch Outfitters will be open in the afternoon. Students will receive a schedule in with session times and locations.
