Volunteers are the backbone of our community – thank you for all the ways you contributed this year!
Over half of those registered with SLPS as approved volunteers are due to expire during the 2017-2018 school year. The busiest time to submit a new or renewal application is from August-October, with many delays expected.
The PTO highly recommends every parent become an approved volunteer. The best time to file your paperwork is NOW, before the current school year is over.
If you are already an approved volunteer and you are not sure when your status is due to expire, please contact your child’s teacher. It’s easy to renew! Simply fill out and return the Volunteer Renewal Application and Background Check Form.
If you have not previously applied to become an approved volunteer with SLPS, you will need to fill out 3 forms:
Mail in your forms OR hand them in to the school’s administrative assistant, Ms. Shivers-Jones.
Please turn in ALL forms at the same time. Applications that are missing forms are NOT processed!
Allow 4 weeks for your application to be processed. If you have more questions, feel free to contact the school.
