2. Let Me Run Coach
We are looking for parents to coach the Let Me Run program. Let Me Run is a seven-week running program for boys in fourth and fifth grade. It is similar to the Girls on Run program. Volunteers are needed to coordinate two 90-minute practices each week (before school) and mentor the boys who participate in the program. You must be an approved volunteer to serve in this position. Please contact Dave Custis if you are interested or would like more information.

3. Book Fair

The Scholastic Book Fair takes place March 13-16. This is a fun opportunity to interact with the students. You must be an approved volunteer. Please sign up online at SignUp.com (formerly Volunteer Spot). SignUp.com does not share your email address with anyone. If you prefer not to sign up online, please contact Dale Greenbury to volunteer.

4. Website Assistance

The PTO is looking for a volunteer to assist with website updates. Duties would include updating the events calendar and posting news items. You do not need to be an approved volunteer. Please contact Susie Anderson-Bauer if you are interested.

5. PTO Health and Wellness Committee

The newly-created PTO Health and Wellness Committee will hold its first meeting next Wednesday, February 15, at 7:00 p.m. at Russell’s on Macklind.  The Committee will cover a wide range of concerns — e.g., the lunch menu and other nutritional issues, wellness initiatives like Let Me Run and Girls on the Run, etc. — but its first order of business will be to consider new approaches to food allergies.  If you are interested in that discussion, or in joining the Health and Wellness Committee, please consider attending.  All are welcome. Please contact sarah.pitlyk@gmail.com for more information or to RSVP.
